- In the morning Florian called from grandma's place and asked how his brother is. That's quite thoughtful considering that normally they try to kill each other.
- Florian likes to play Battleships recently which is called "Schiffe versenken" in German. Matthias always calls the game "Kinder versenden" which translates to "mailing children" :) That would be a cool game, I always tell him "We'd ship you two off to Honolulu".
- Matthias was looking for James (a train from Thomas the tank engine) for a couple of weeks, today we found it in his toy toolbox in the space where the driller goes. He was quite excited.
- Florian stole a carrot from me four days ago when I was cooking and hid it behind a pile of puzzles. Today Matthias found it and thank god in time, so it wasn't mouldy yet. At first I didn't get it when he announced: "Here's a carrot! Here's a carrot!"
- Oliver (a friend of mine) has lent me a book. Today Matthias tore a page out of it. Sorry Oliver, I'll buy you a new copy :)
- Here's a good trick if you want to get your child to take a nap in the afternoon: Push him around in the pushchair facing the sun. It's so bright, that he has to close his eyes and will eventually fall asleep.
- I bought Wasabi coated peanuts today. Matthias wanted some. We told him that they are really hot and he wouldn't like them. He still wanted some. We told him again ... he ate one ... it was hot ... he spit it out ... he cried ... for 2 minutes ... we've told him so.
- Lunch: Pizza, Dinner: Mozarella and tomatoes, fried vegetables.
