Day 55 - End of holidays

  • Children are genetically programmed to know when holidays are over. The last ten days Florian got up between 6 and 6.30 in the morning. Today it's the first day of nursery after the holidays and I had to kick him out of bed at 8.10 so I could get him into nursery on time.
  • Every morning I prepare a snack box for Florian. Before the holidays I put apple slices into the box. Naturally he hadn't eaten them and I had forgotten about it. The thing that I found in the box this morning was quite scary. It was green, hairy and had some weird tentacles that stretched across the whole box. I immediately threw it into the bin and I think I heard it screaming a bit when I closed the lid.
  • Florian was at our neighbours place in the afternoon. When he came back in the evening he didn't close the front door. When we noticed it, the door had already been open for an hour and the temperature in the hallway was below freezing (at least that's what it felt like).
  • After Easter you have to cook food that requires hard boiled eggs. Luckily a lot of Chinese dishes can be used for that (curry chicken for example).
  • Lunch & Dinner: Curry chicken.
